CESGA Computational Science Summer School will take place from June 21st to Septembre 15th 2010. This second edition of the Summer School is devoted to graduate students and young researchers, interested in computational science and new tools for scientific calculation. Moreover, this Summer School intends to show the use of computational science in different areas such as Mathematics, Biomedicine, Nanotechnology, etc.
The following topics on programming, optimization and debugging of sequential and parallel applications will be covered:
Programming in Fortran (22/06-25/06, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
Programming in C (28/06-02/07, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
Computational Mathematics: Compilation, execution and optimization of programs (05/07-09/07, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
Introduction to resolution algorithms of scientific applications (12/07-16/07, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
Parallel programming using directives OpenMP (19/07-22/07, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
Introduction to the programming in MPI (26/07-29/07, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
Tools of parallel applications development: Debugging and analysis of the performance (02/07-05/07, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
Additionally to these courses, several seminars will be celebrated in order to show the need of the computational science in different scientific areas.
