Description :
Study of requirements and implementation of applications with short response – time or real time needs in distributed computing environments, according to the GRID paradigm. Special emphasis will be placed on visualization and datamining.
The applications are:
1. Simulation of the circulation of the blood.
2. Simulation of flood and water avalanches.
3. High energies
4. Atmospheric and pollutants dispersal forecast
The contribution of Galicia will be:
-Adaptation of an application for the forecast of pollutants dispersal in a GRID environment.
-Development and computing implementation of an application performance forecast model.
-Participation in the creation and maintenance of the GRID infrastructure (27
institutions of 11 countries).
