HARDWARE

The SVG system installed at CESGA is composed of:

• 18 Pentium III servers with 36 550MHz and 800MHz processors, between 512MB and 1 GB of memory per node. With 1 local ATA 40GB disk and a Fast Ethernet 100Mbit/s interconnection network between the nodes.
• 80 DELL 750 servers with Pentium 4 3.2GHz processor. 48 servers have a 1GB main memory and 32 servers have 2GB. The servers have a 160GB 7200rpm SATA disk. All these nodes are interconnected by Gigabit Ethernet to a Dell 1750 data server with 2 Xeon 3GHz processors and 438GB of SCSI disk with RAID 5 configuration.
• 2 DELL 1425 servers with Pentium Xeon64 3.2GHz processor, one with 80GB and the other with 500GB of local SATA disk.
• 1 HP Proliant DL145 server with 2 AMD 3.2GHz Opteron processors with 4Gb of main memory and 2 80GB SATA local disks.
