CESGA announces its first CESGA Computational Science Summer School that will be held from June 30th to September 30th 2009. This first Summer School is aimed at young graduates, engineers and researchers who want to be trained in computation techniques and in tools for scientific computing. The purpose of Summer School is to show the current uses of computational science in various applications like Mathematics, Bio-medicine, Nanotechnology, etc.
The following training courses in programming, optimization, and purge of scientific applications, both sequential and parallel, will be taught during Summer School:
Programming in Fortran (16/06-19/06, 09:00 - 14:00)
Programming in C (22/06-26/06, 10:00 - 14:00)
Computational Mathematics: Program compilation, execution and optimization. (29/06-03/07, 10:00 - 14:00)
Introduction to algorithms for solving scientific applications (06/07-10/07, 10:00 - 14:00)
Introduction to MPI programming (20/07-24/07, 10:00 - 14:00)
Parallel programming using OpenMP directives (27/07-31/07, 10:00 - 14:00)
Tools for development of parallel applications: Debugging and performance analysis (07/09-11/09, 10:00 - 14:00)
Apart from the training courses, four introduction seminars will be held on the need of computational science in diverse scientific areas, taught by internationally prestigious researchers.
